Future Directions
More Minerals
The results so far can deliver responses for various mineral elements including Copper, Lead, Sulphur, Lithium and Nickel. The processes used to identify these elements can be expanded to detect other minerals. We anticipate successfully detecting uranium, rare earths and other elements in the future. The geology-biology interaction is different for each of these requiring a nuanced process of adaptation for each.
What about Gold? Theoretically, orogenic Gold is detectable now. However our current approach requires further calibration. It’s not as straightforward as we had hoped.
The exciting part of what we do is unravelling how biology responds to specific aspects of mineralisation and geology. Making these advances requires expert knowledge in geology, mineralogy, microbiology and genetics – something we are very good at.

Immediate Field Detection
Imagine not having to wait for lab results. Instead we are planning to develop in-field tests that can deliver immediate feedback to the user on the presence or absence of target mineralisation at depth.
A simple, user-friendly analysis can deliver a visual response in about 40 minutes. Multiple samples can be collected and processed providing the operator with the necessary visual feedback (no technical equipment to read results other than your eyes).
A full day of soil sampling over a target followed by in-field quantitation for your mineral element provides all the encouragement (or otherwise) you need to assess your target.
Welcome to the amazing science of biotechnology applied to mineral exploration.

Direct Ore Body Detection
This is the Holy Grail of mineral detection and we believe we can do this. The process uses existing technology to collect a completely overlooked biogeochemical parameter. We then defer to one of history’s greatest physicists (Albert Einstein) to model data in a way that is linked to cosmological principles. A seemingly impossible task is begging to be solved. We only need to look at our data in a way we never thought possible. This is innovation, insight, hybridisation and creativity at its finest. A highly theoretical endeavour, but someone has to be first.

Amazing Possibilities
Unlocking the mathematical relationship between microscopic life and geology was just the start. From this point, it was easy to expand physics and mathematics into completely new avenues that no one had ever imagined. Remarkable discoveries await that, if proven, will reshape science. We’re not limiting ourselves to mineral exploration.
Coupling new ideas with rapid advances in AI is constantly revealing significant findings in the data. Besides mineral exploration, genetic sequencing is identifying an abundance of microbes that have the potential to deliver novel siderophores which in turn could shape future developments in cancer and antibiotic treatment.
